Since I am not at all interested in photo-realism, most of my paintings have some degree of abstraction. The paintings included in this section have generally started from some realistic idea or photograph, but have traveled towards more unrealistic shapes, colors, or other more abstract changes.  Some will include other media, such as paper collage, chalks or water-soluble crayons.  The painting called “The Waiters” is a good example of this.  It started from a photo I took of two waiters  while in a restaurant.  But as you look at other paintings in this section you will see that there are many different ways of abstracting.
